Most of the elements of the infrastructure, like offices, information technology, labs, and portable equipments, are in the participating institutes, primarily in the establishments of the Centre of Ecological Research. Other very important elements are in situ in Kiskunság, like the Fejes farmhouse field station, a meteorological station and the highly instrumented experimental VULCAN/INCREASE site, as well as hundreds of sampling plots with thousands of permanent sampling units.
